Vizio TV No Sound – How to Fix
If your Vizio TV sound not working, you need to reset your TV. Unplug your TV from the wall and wait for a full 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug your Vizio TV back in. This will soft reset your TV and the sound should be working again!

Vizio TV No Sound (Just Do This ONE THING.)
For some reason, most Vizio TVs eventually run into a similar problem with the sound not working. There are countless cases of Vizio TV owners who say they’ve had this problem – some say it’s been an issue they’ve dealt with for multiple years! Luckily there is a very easy fix that should resolve about 80% or so of sound issues with Vizio TVs.
1. Check to make sure the volume level of your TV is set above zero.
- You can do this using the Up & Down (sometimes + and -) buttons on the VIZIO TV remote.
- Press the Menu button on your VIZIO remote.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight 'Audio' or 'Audio Settings' and press the 'OK' key on the remote.
- Make sure it says 'On' next to the TV Speakers setting. If it states off, press okay to choose 'ON'.

- For best results, disconnect and reconnect the cables from the back of the TV and from the source device.
- While you are reconnecting cables, check to make sure they haven't become frayed or cut.
- If you are not getting audio from your Cable or Satellite box, try switching inputs to another device like a gaming system, or streaming device. For connected TVs, you can also try playing audio from an app like YouTube or Watchfree.
